Anna Francis and the winners of the scholarship Piero Salvati 2009 edition Si chiamano Anna Landolfi, 19 anni di Casalbagliano (Alessandria) e Francesco Giacalone, 14 anni di Bosco Marengo i vincitori di questa terza edizione della “Borsa di studio Piero Salvati”.
La consegna del prestigioso riconoscimento è avvenuto in occasione delle celebrazioni della Virgo Fidelis, Patrona dell’Arma dei Carabinieri, che si è svolta domenica 6 dicembre scorso presso il Duomo di Tortona.
Promotore dell’iniziativa l’Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri (ANC) di Tortona, presided over by Marshal Pierluigi Deriu, and the Command of the Carabinieri of Tortona Commander Captain Giorgio Sanna.
Anna and Francis were awarded a grant of one thousand euro each, overcoming stiff competition from many sons of policemen on duty or on leave of the Province of Alessandria, who attend school and who had submitted their applications for participation in 'Association Scholarship Piero Saved "ONLUS, by last November 21. Landolfi currently attends the 1st year of the Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Alexandria and was the winner in section three years, having achieved an average rating of 9 in the report card of admission to the maturity, then successfully passed the final grade of 98/100 at the Liceo Classico "Giovanni Plana" in Alexandria.
Anna expressed great interest in medicine, in which faculty will continue to direct its future efforts and universities is a big fan of music (one of the areas of qualification of the competition "Piero Saved"), in my third year of the conservatory of Alexandria in the class of Organ and Organ Composition and having already achieved the three-year license Solfeggio. At the same musical institute Anna also attended a course of exercises Chorale.
Anna's dad, Layer Landolfi, gives his service with the rank of Deputy Sergeant at the Department of Information Operations Unit of the Carabinieri of Alexandria.
Francesco Giacalone instead attended the 2nd class of the Liceo Scientifico "Galileo Galilei" of Alexandria and has successfully passed the first year in school year 2008-09, finishing in first place on the list reserved for students for the biennium. Francesco
apply with commitment to a future study ambendo qualified professional and in graduating its first goal. Francis was very fascinated by his father Joseph (a policeman at the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri of Alexandria) and one day he too would join the action.
Francis did not play any musical instrument yet, but hear a lot of music and has a passion for the guitar, which will start learning soon. Music for him is a source of excitement and great energy and this has caught exactly the spirit in which the Marshal Peter Salvati relate to music and his favorite instruments (clarinet, for which he was a member of the National Police Band , piano and guitar).
Captain Giorgio Sanna thanked the Salvati family for having set up this important event, which annually recognizes outstanding students of the Province of Alessandria and congratulated with the winners, making him the best wishes for their future academic and professional.
Andrea Salvati, president of the "Scholarship Pierre Salvati," he recalled as the award, created in the aftermath of the loss of the beloved father (to honor his memory and his passion for the Corps, education and music), is already able to grow and involve so many young people and families of members of the weapon, thanks to the patronage of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri and the Local Education in the Province of Alessandria, which together have supported from the start with determination.
Many efforts have already resulted in such a short time an appointment qualificato e atteso da parte della nostra comunità provinciale dell’Arma e da questa terza edizione l’Associazione Borsa di Studio Piero Salvati può contare sul prestigioso apporto e contributo della Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria che, nella persona del suo Presidente Taverna e del suo Consigliere Ronchetti, hanno creduto nell’iniziativa e hanno dichiarato il loro intento nel far proseguire e crescere ulteriormente la già felice collaborazione nelle prossime edizioni.
L’appuntamento dunque è per il prossimo anno per premiare altri meritevoli studenti figli dell’Arma dei Carabinieri della nostra Provincia.
