The meeting of 11 October to Cagliari for the birth of the Centre Media and Children is based on the reality. The actions of greeting and the report focuses in particular on the delicate relationship between the news reporting and children to understand what are, in reality, the impact of the news not only on the generality of readers, but especially the protagonists, often lucky, of the events recounted by newspapers, radio and television. The freedom of the press, in fact, must be reconciled with other rights, first of all the weakest. The journalists, exercising their profession responsibly, must get to know the reality and be aware of the consequences (positive or negative) of their work. (October 2, 2008)
